These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of The Game Archive website at thegamearchive.app (“the site”), operated by us (“we”, “us”, “our”). This is a short preview stub while the site is a catalogue preview. Fuller product terms will apply when accounts and the full service launch.

1. Acceptance

By using the site you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. What the site is today

The Game Archive is a forthcoming product for cataloguing physical game collections. Today the site may show a landing experience and decorative game shelves. Features, branding, and availability may change before launch. Nothing on the site is an offer of a paid subscription unless we say so in writing when that product goes live.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the site in an abusive way.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure.
  • Use the site in any way that breaks applicable law.

4. Game data and third-party sources

Game metadata including titles, cover images, and platform information is sourced from IGDB (igdb.com), a Twitch service. The Game Archive is not affiliated with or endorsed by IGDB or Twitch. Third-party data is provided “as is”; we make no guarantees as to its accuracy or completeness.

5. Intellectual property

The Game Archive name, branding, and site design are owned by us. You may not copy or reuse them except as needed to use the site in a normal way. Third-party game artwork and metadata remain subject to their owners’ and providers’ rights.

6. Disclaimer

The site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis while in preview. To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of England and Wales, we exclude warranties that are not required by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

7. Changes and future product terms

We may update these Terms as the product develops. When accounts, billing, or additional features launch, we will publish fuller Terms of Service. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
